We have a brand new CD coming out, entitled Fracture: The Music of Pat Muchmore, and like all things this is a perfect excuse to drink and play music. Now, your traditional ensembles would simply play the pieces on the record and make you purchase a copy of the CD at a price above and beyond what you've already paid. Not us! A single payment of $14.99 gets you a copy of the album AND admittance to the Thursday, May 27th show, which show will feature versions of the tracklist personally mangled by our performers and composers. That's right! We brought good old Number 5's most-feared verb to bear on Pat's music: DISASSEMBLE. Hubert Chen, Kamala Sankaram, Jeff Hudgins, John Wriggle, Brad Kemp and David Durst have all taken one of Muchmore's pieces from the record and broken, fixed, truncated, lengthened, eviscerated and/or spat upon them, all for your viewing and listening pleasure. We've had our way with him. Hell, we even made him write this very concert announcement in a faux-Virgin Suicides-y first person plural. Screw that guy.

So come enjoy the lovely carnage in Space #3 at Space on White on 81 White Street. We'll also have artwork by the one and only scrapworm—who designed the CD digipak—and a performace of an original, unmutilated piece for trombone and electronics written by Pat for trombonist Jen Baker. With new CDs, liquor, art, music and degradation, it's gotta be good.
